Our Commitment
Pre MOT Check is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.
Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following features to improve accessibility:
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements can be accessed using keyboard controls.
- Skip Links: A "Skip to content" link is provided to bypass repetitive navigation.
- Semantic HTML: We use proper heading structure and semantic elements to aid screen readers.
- Focus Indicators: Visible focus states are provided for all interactive elements.
- Colour Contrast: We aim to maintain sufficient contrast ratios between text and backgrounds.
- Responsive Design: The website adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some parts of the website may not be fully accessible. We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:
- PDF Downloads: Generated PDF checklists may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We recommend using the on-screen information where possible.
- Complex Data Visualisations: Some charts and gauges may not convey all information to screen reader users. Text alternatives are provided where possible.
